Medical Materials Information Specialist - Cambridge, UK.
The main work will involve building a materials information system to support medical device design. The database will include all classes of medical materials and will hold conventional material property data as well as medical-device specific information for implantable and non-implantable devices. The initial focus will be on cardiovascular and orthopaedic systems, and will then expand to other sectors. This will be a collaborative activity with overseas partners so a significant amount of travel will be required.
The Content team you will join currently comprises six people, who: build reference databases; customise materials information systems for corporate customers; write sophisticated technical data processing software; and provide training and consultancy services for a wide range of organisations.

The Person We are looking for an individual with the following characteristics:
A PhD or equivalent experience in materials used for medical device design. Excellent computer literacy, with good database knowledge and programming skills, and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and ability to work with customers. Drive and enthusiasm, with a passion for your work. Benefits Salary range Ј22k - Ј30k.
